I'm a VP at Meta, leading the Media Applied Research organization within Meta SuperIntelligence Labs (MSL). My group focuses on multimodal understanding and generation — pushing the frontier and shipping capabilities used by billions of people every day.
My Meta journey started as an intern in 2012. The passion has been constant: keep pushing AI capabilities — early on in Computer Vision, now across modalities — with an eye to scale and accessibility for everyone. Lately, I'm excited to build multimodal agents that help people create, collaborate, and connect.

A few things about me
- I grew up in India and live in the Bay Area.
- I've spent my career at Meta — computer vision, multimodal understanding, the Llama family, and now frontier multimodal models.
- I care about research and engineering. I want to minimize the graveyard of awesomeness on the research side and maximize the value of innovation on the product side — and aspire to be the best at balancing the two.
- I love experimenting — physically (running, hiking, 50 pullups), mentally (10‑day water fasts), spiritually (vipassana retreats), and socially (pulling friends together, firing up the pizza oven for Napoletana night, and overfeeding everyone with self‑concocted recipes).
- My wife and I run the Paluri Foundation, a small family foundation.
- We're blessed with a boy and a girl — when I'm not building or traveling, I'm just having fun with them.
